If I give out an object to someone that is fully copyable, and the script in it as well is copyable and modifyable, if someone alters the script by opening it and then saving changes, is that action logged? Right now with the way permissions work, that script would still show up as having been created by me, even if the contents were completely replaced. This opens up the possibility that anyone who has a copyable object with a script in it created by them that has modify permissions on it could unwittingly be implicated in a grid attack, if the attacker simply replaced the script in an object. Please tell me that it is not as easy to make someone else look guilty as I think it is?

It is what has happend here. Phillip Linden is listed as creator for both the object (Firework Launcher) and script.

From: Cristiano Midnight Ah so they traced it to owner then, not creator? Owner is the one who released it... so I guess yes. Just that there's the "gullible fellow" option... Naming this the same as a commonly available item would suggest that.
