Has anyone ever done any filk about Second Life? It seems like a natural.

(To the tune of Radiohead's Motion Picture Soundtrack - from Kid A:)

Overflights and griefing spheres
Make me feel the Metaverse;
Sex pose balls and camping chairs
Make me feel it's getting worse;
It's not the mo-ney,
Trust me,
It's not the mo-ney,
Trust me.

[cue funky sweep effects]
Don't show me Anshe,
Anshe was long, long ago;
Show me the newbies,
Show me what they come to know;
It's not the mo-ney,
Trust me,
It's not the mo-ney,
Trust me;

I will see you in the Third Life..

I've done too many to count... My wife will probably post to this thread saying "for craps sake don't encourage him anymore"

Siggy.

What an inquisitive thing to wonder about. There are a lot of "natural" things within SL which really haven't blossomed, but in time, I hope they will. Sometimes, when I think of filk, I see evocative images of Merlin in a big cap with stars riding on a biomechanical horse, on some planet where there is sand but that sand is red... and yet, not quite Martian red.

It'd be nice to see some more specific songs reflecting SL culture: not just the lyrics, but the actual music recorded as part of our heritage here.
