It seems that whenever I give someone a vendor-type object - where they need permission to copy the items inside in order to sell them, but future customers shouldn't have copy permission - there's no way to avoid having to require the reciever to manually edit the next owner permissions.. is that right or am I missing something?

Unfortunately not. They can hand out no-copy items but once they sell that no copy item thats it, they're all out. Just out of curiousity, are you handing out vendors to employees? If so something like JENC might be more benificial for you as you can adjust commision, have one location to store your items, and multipul catagories. Just becareful though, networked vendors & their servers are lag causers especially if you have a handful of them.

Permissions still suck.
