I thought to have a little fun and did some snapshots and turn it into Stereovision. Visit:

Pick up a pair of 3D glasses thats uses red and blue lens and peek at that site. You'll see a little town in STEREOVISION!

Hate to burst your bubble, but that has been done many times. You can also do 3D stereovision in REAL TIME by loading up the 3D Consumer Stereo Drivers for Nvidia Cards and play SL in 3D stereovision.

I know you aren't claiming to be the first :) I think you had a good idea, and it is neat! Reminds me to try a few rendering experiments of my own.

SL is all about experimenting, after all.

Excellent info- My bubble popped and glad to see something like this. Can you tell us more about that?

It seems yours work better. Can you tell us how you did it. I took one picture and pasted it in the red channel and I took the other picture and pasted it in the blue channel and filled the green channel with black. I guess I need to try something else.
The Mac has a game that uses red and blue glasses and works really well. You fly around and shoot aninmals and really feels real. Perhaps SecondLife can offer a program using red and blue glasses to view all the wonderful works. Why do we need to sink $$$$ into goggles.

The single image random dot stereograms work when they are displayed in SL, to my surprise and pleasure.

I would like to see a place in the real world where every single surface was covered with SIRDSs.

It would be trippy.

An SL build that engulfed one in SIRDSs might be interesting.
