Ive got a quick question. WHat can people tell me about land/property rentals. Do i need a premium account?

All I want is a small office space. someplace I can set up a desk, a chair, computer, couch, mailbox, etc. I just want a cubicle someplace, but I'm not ready yet to go premium.

I've had my SL account for almost a year, but really havent explored until these past two weeks, so I really feel like I'm behind

If you just want to rent land, you don't need a premium account.

A premium account allows you to own a small piece of land, which you then have complete control over. Renting gives you slightly less control, but you might be able to get a slightly bigger area, or more prims.

Of course, the L$500 stipend for having a premium account can be used to pay your rent too! :)

Yeah, I just need to figure out what I'm doing. I've got a lot of expenses at the moment in FIRST life (new house, new bills, home repairs. argh) and I dont think my wife would appreciate me "wasting" real money to have virtual property on the grid :)

I think I'll have to scope around and see what I can manage.

There are actually several places that you can rent for free up to a certain number of prims..........we rented a pretty nice apartment to start out 50 prim limit over that it was like 1L/prim. and it was free. you might want to look into something like that to start

If you don't mind a tropical/tiki hut styled office, we have a few available for 75 a week.

20 by 10 and allowed 50 prims

Search for Emerald Falls in Pruni...

We set up shop areas for our regular visitors, but 2 have been empty awhile.

If you a more professional looking set up, let me know, I can work with you..give me something to do after some rl issues get taken care of this weekend.
