I wanted to know how renting spaces work exactly....

I see the signs that you can rent space and sell things....which makes sense....

But after they rent...they can drop items and pick them up.....
but can they pick up other items from other vendors in that same building? I was just wondering how item ownership works when people leave things on your property, and how does your property knows that they are allowed after renting from you. And after they rent one room, how do you keep them from placing their items Anywhere they want on your property.

Im not a scripter so I cant translate what is happening with rental scripts :)

thanks in advance for answers!!

Typically renting space in a mall, for example, is done on an honor system - meaning, you agree to abide by the terms of the rental agreement (usually displayed when you click the rental vendor) or risk having your items returned to you and your rental forfeit. So, for example, if you exceed your prim limits, or if encroach on your neighbor's space, the owner will likely ask you to move your items, or return them to you. If your behavior is very egregious, they may even remove you from the group and terminate your rental agreement (your money is not usually returned).

Most rental spots require that you join a group, and set your items to that group. If you fail to do this, your items will be returned to you automatically. This keeps non-renters from setting up in the mall (well, kinda).

There is no magic in a rental vendor. You pay it, it sends the money to the owner, and then it usually shrinks down to a smaller size to allow you to set up your items. A scripted rental vendor is not going to do anything to monitor your store or your behavior. That is up to the owner of the mall. Second Life does not provide much in the way of direct support for mall owners. They have to manually patrol their malls and look for violators.

And if you have a problem with another tenant, message the owner and they should come take care of the problem for you.
