Seems it would have made for them to dump everyone off the grid and work on it empty...but oh well

I totally agree crucial. Not to mention any events that were scheduled! I understand its a complex thing but c'mon! How many are working on this 2? 3? Times like this is when i cant believe i'm actually paying to be a member of SL. =(...What ever or whom ever was responsible i do hope that LL sticks to their promise of reporting & prosecuting to the fullest!!

I'm still here guys!

I'll account firsthand that the probs are still being worked on--not a second is going to waste here.

Well I don't have a business but I do have things I wanted to get done tonite for the holidays, gifts to get and hand out, etc. Businesses will be fine and I'm sure no major sale loss will be noticed. If people want something bad enough, they will get it no matter when the grid comes back up. There's no need to make it appear as if the only ones who are missing out are business owners. I'm more worried about the time I'm missing out with friends for the Holidays, not making money...

yes indeed Zsu you are 100% correct that it is not only business that is loosing out here. The entire community is loosing out with this down time.

Luckily i do not depend on SL as my sole income but some do. and down time like this can hurt them drastically.

also I'm not worried about loosing the sale of the one who already had in mind to buy one of my items. it the casual window shopper witch there are many that we are loosing out on

best wishes Cru

Even though it's bad for merchants, it means readers for us media members.

I'm new to SL. I've really enjoyed it so far.
Hopefully no one gets angry I posted this link.

I put up a teamspeak server for everyone to chat on while SL is down.

teamspeak://bhmm.net

I'll try to moderate to prevent things from getting out of hand.
No promises though.

http://www.goteamspeak.com/
Its available for win/mac/linux.

Now there. Let's not make people more nervous than they are already.

They're working on it, poking them every minute and asking "is it fixed yet?" isn't going to make it get done faster. I've dealt with similar situations (being a sysadmin), and it's really annoying how people keep poking you and demanding answers. It breaks you out of concentration, and can have bad consequences if you get nervous, and make things even worse than they are already due to hurrying too much.

I don't mind waiting a bit more to have it well fixed. I wouldn't want to log in and find random chunks of the world gone because somebody messed up and deleted to much, or have it begin again because they missed something.
