Wow!

It seems the first ones to get to the non-profit project "Friend of the Urban Forest" were some age-players!

OMG is there actually a square inch of that blog not covered with an ad? Yuck. I did however buy one of the trees and named it Fred :)

Dude, I've converted. Try Firefox with the AdBlock and FlashBlock plugins. You'll NEVER turn back. Even if Firefox's treatment of the cursor arrows suxx0rz!

Buy trees everyone! Its for a great cause, and these ones are pretty cool - supposedly they grow over time!

Regards,

-Flip

No thanks, not a FF fan - I generally don't block ads, as having an ad supported site I do value them. However, there is a point of ridiculousness, and that is just obscene. Also, Opera 9 has beautiful content blocker without plugins, and it's a nicer web browser :)

PS - buy a tree!

Thanks to everyone who bought a tree already, we had a bit of a termite problem with the first batch of trees planted and they grew SUPER speedy and super big. Ben's squashed the termite problem and anyone who's already bought a tree should have gotten a replacement.

Yeah Friends of the Urban Forest! ;)

w00t!

Anyone wanna make a joke about "Speed Trees"? Haha.

I guess the only thing that'd surprise me now is seeing a bunch of Peanuts avs go up there to buy a tree... perhaps a Chrismassy one...

I deleted the images and brief interview as they were understandably becoming a distraction to the very cool project Jeska's put together (along with the other worthwhile events featured there). My apologies, that wasn't my intent. If anyone wants to discuss this issue further, they're welcome to post in my SL Forum, and I'll be happy to discuss it there, where it's most appropriate.

I hope this doesn't distract from the event any further-- go plant a tree, for godssake.

Aww I like the stunted growth tree. It looked like a giant mushroom.

Lol sensationalism alive and well in the virutal community I see :)

As for the buying of trees - I live in the desert, virtual trees would just depress me further.
