How do you go about making clone armies in SL?

I remember a pair of avatars that operated in synch. I think it was the Olsen twins.

With free accounts we should be able to see squads of 3; lots of computers can handle 3 accounts at the same time.

People could get a single extra account to use to be part of a clone army. There would be one person running the head avatar and the clone avatars would follow around and be synched by script, using sensors and get animation state and moveto. It wouldn't need to be a clone army, it could just as well be a clone dance troupe. Or a thousand people doing synched mime animations.

Note: Given the pervasive sluggishness of SL, I use the word synched here in a very loose sense.

The GodMode program allows one to record action sequences, this might make it possible to run the clone collectives totally under computer control.

I just did mine with the clones all having a simple follow script....to keep everything aligned I manually adjusted the offsets in each of the follow scripts to put them in different places.

Interesting side note, the 3 'clones' actually ran on a p3-500/256 with a 128MB FX5200.

You couldn't see shit on the puter that was running them, but they were pretty zippy to everyone that saw them in world.
