Ok not sure if this is correct place to ask but.......

A place I host at has expanded and many people in one part of the area can't hear others on the other parts. Well w/out shouting I mean.

So most of us shout, 'IF' they remember, and if they don't, many miss half of the convo.

The game board shouts naturally, but now that we are all ALSO shouting the neighbors are none to happy.

Initially I was going to ask for some type of system available to make everyone in a set area be able to hear everyone else...I swear I've seen something like this before.

But if there's such a thing where we can hear each other yet the neighbors DIDN'T that would be even better. Dunno about this one.

Any ideas anyone?

You could set up chat repeaters. But the open listeners on channel 1 will problary lag the place up :/

For everything there comes a time when one should put it to rest and and be done with it.

In the case of your forum icon, that time occurred long ago. Probably shortly before making it in the first place.

You might try asking Travis Lambert, he has one in the Shelter, or did a month or so ago.

You can have a repeater lie Sera says..

You can make it listen to specific people, or make it an attachment, give it to your hosts and make it only listen to the owner.. Or make all the hosts speak on a seperate channel, and it will repeat whats said on that channel..

Then again, its probably worse starting things with /214 than it is just to click shout..

Theres nothing you can do to stop your neighbours hearing you other than you measuring how far away your neighbours land is, or getting them to mute you.. THAT I know of..

I was keeping my eyes open for a new forum icon, since I've had this one since day one, and I just had my 1 year b-day.

But now I'll have to keep it another few years. Crap !!!

If your eyes are doing that crossing all the time with that much enthusiasm, keeping them open would not have helped the search effort much.

I wish chat, like sounds, could be localized on a certain parcel. This would make it so you could speak very loudly; it just wouldn't go past the edges.
