Ok, is it JUST Saturday? "The BBC plans to rock in virtual reality on Saturday" Cause if so, no one is going to see Pink (I can sense the disappointment amongst you all, really!) Since she's playing on Sunday And so is Keane.

From: someone The BBC has been moving aggressively into new media, launching blogs, podcasts and making much of its content available online. Austin said the broadcaster sees the Second Life simulcast as a way to connect with a new, young audience. Just how old are regular BBC viewers? Almost everyone I've met in SL is in their 30s Unless they're going to TG, they're going to see a lot of 20-something looking avatars operated by 30-something resis.

I'm 26... I listen to BBC Radio 3, though. Don't care for boring manufactured pop/rock/metal tripe. Never did.

The BBC have 4xSims to cater for crowds, this was suppose to be a 'pilot' weekend launch. The BBC presence in Second Life will be permament, with events and special happenings planned from now onwards.
One Big Weekend is a pilot event: The event was leaked to the press, now we're not too sure how many will come.
The islands, are just North of avalon. Sim and will be switched on sometime tomorrow morning.
Anymore questions please feel free to IM me.
best
Fizik

I think I stopped listening to Radio 1 when the Evening Session started to die. The appearance of Chris Moyles certainly killed it completely as far as I was concerned. Luckily enough it was okay when I was in the first couple of years of university.
After that I just listened to Radio 4. I can hear new music via podcasts, blogs and file-sharing.
I have to say though, and this was a point that I found that many Americans agreed with me on when I was there, Radio 1 is way better than your average Clearchannel station in the US, which is, well, almost all of them. You have my sympathies, my Colonial cousins.

YAY! radio 1 is in town!

OK, I'm a 33 yr old Brit and I like Radio 1, no crime in that. I love the humour of Chris Moyles, Colin and Edith are cool too. But the best DJ ever has to be Zane Lowe. That dudes rocks, big time! I mainly listen to Indie and I find that Zane is great at introducing promising new talent of all genres. I'll be there tomorrow, except when Liverpool cane West Hams hide! I hope to see a lot of England flags there! It's rare to see the UK sent up so well in a mainly American environment. be proud and thank God Terry Wogan won't be there! Look out for me guys and say hello! I'll be the bulldog wearing the Union Jack!
