Is anyone else crashing since update?

Ok. I posted in technical, and y'all can yell at me for posting here, but I am really getting no help from that forum, live help in game, or SL support through email.

What I want to know is if others are having this problem. I am not looking for solutions. It would simply be of interest and comfort to me to know that it is not just me that is having this issue.

Therefore, this thread pertains to SL in the general sense. Please don't move it, as I would like to catch the eyes of as many players as possible so that I may get a feel as to how widespread the issue is, if it is at all.

The problem:

I am randomly crashing every few minutes. Sometimes 2 or 3 times in a row within minutes of each other, sometimes its fine for 30 minutes or so, and then I crash. I have never had crashing issues before today. Nothing changed on my PC since I logged out last night, except that I installed the new version of SL.

Anyone else?

Running smooth here, regardless of who's on the SL capable machine.

Well after all sorts of trial and error, following player suggestions, no response from Live Help or tech support, no Linden reply in the tech forum, I am still crashing,

Yes.

Earlier, I logged in to change a script in the door of my house. Total work of less than 2 minutes. I crashed as I was saving the script.

I'm sick of the 20, 30, 40 crashes per day.

Ever since the 1.10, I have been lagging like hell, can't move without crashing, I crash when I talk, I crash when I take pictures, I've moved to the preview grid to do my scripting and stuff, then copy to main grid, because the 1.12 is has 0!!!! lag in it for me, I'll get back to SL when they finally give me the 1.12 update, maybe that will cure my lag problem.

No crashing on this or any other version since my join date beyond an occasional one here or there, maybe 7 times total, and I'm logged in and active most of the day, every day. Actually my only crashes seem to be the very first terraforming action I take after being logged in for hours, but as I said, this is rare. I don't know how much of a role system specs play in these issues, so here are mine for comparison: HP Pavillion, Windows Media Center 2005, Intel Pentium D, 2GB RAM, ATI X1600 512MB RAM. I wish the crash reporter had a option to show where the crash happened (network related, video card related, etc.) as that would allow us to test some settings rather than hoping the transmitted report was ever dealt with.

While I have not personally done this, I have seen other people recommend a complete wipe of the Second Life program directory then a fresh install. Remove Second Life then manually remove the directory if it still exists, reboot, and try a fresh install.

I honestly don't know why this would work since most of SL is server-side, but more than a few told this in the "Current Version Feedback" Forum seem to have had success.
