And as always, please don't divulge your passwords to other SL residents. Just so you all know, these phishing schemes are always going on. It makes the name of the company based on the domain in the email address - thus, for Robin it would say "Lindenlab". If Robin worked at Microsoft and had the email robin@microsoft.com instead, the email would have instead read like this: From: Fake Email Today I received the following mail from "service@microsoft.com".
Dear user robin,
You have successfully updated the password of your Microsoft account.
If you did not authorize this change or if you need assistance with your account, please contact Microsoft customer service at: service@microsoft.com
Thank you for using Microsoft! The Microsoft Support Team We've had these going around our office too. Always be paranoid when it comes to incoming email. Regards, -Flip

i dun get it? if they're inviting responses to an address at lindenlab.com, how will anyone other than LL receive any email you might send? Basically, explain to me in words of less than 3 syllables how this is a phishing scam? It seems incredibly pointless. Sure, if there was a duplicated scam website at Lindenlabs.com or something that invited you to 'log in' and thus recorded your password, I get it. But this? I dun get it?

Typically the link "service@domain.com" isn't actually a mail-to link but a web link that forwards to a phishing web site. Regards, -Flip

Well, I can't see that many people would fall for it cuz it sucks. It wouldnt even occur to me to click a mailto link in the email because I'd want to forward or reply with the original email so they knew what I was referring to. And the wording is all wrong to make people click a link. Pfft. I'm confident I could phish SO much better.

This is a common tactic with people phishing paypal info, as well. I get some of those every day in my 4 email inboxes, and I'm sure to forward them on to spoof@paypal.com. Like Mulder said, "trust no one".

Someone on your contact list has a worm. We had the same one where I work. Usually a zip file attached that someone will open and also get the worm...
W32.Mytob.MX@mm, W32/Mytob, W32/Mytob.QP@mm, Win32/Mytob.LP
some of the variations...
