After reading this article from the Yahoo!, I couldn't help but think of all the prefab designs that fit on 512 sqm plots. Move Over, McMansionsIt was interesting read that they're doing things in these real life homes that I've seen in prefabs: making use of verticle space, moving sleeping areas into lofts, putting patios on flat roofs, use of large windows... I think if they ever came to SL, they could find alot of ideas to use. Not to mention a platform upon which to flesh out ideas or provide virtual walkthroughs.

Ijust can't believe they're saying things like 'ONLY 1,200 sqare feet'... eer... what? I work for a home-building company, and 1,200 square feet is about our middle-sized house (of course, this isn't including the garage, but still..).
I live in a house barely over 800 sqare feet, with no garage. Also living here are my SO, my son, 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs (in a cage that takes up half my son's room), and three gerbils.
Not to mention the fact that we have 5 computers in use... and all the other usual furnashings for each room, except a dining room table.
Other than the wall-to-wall electrical wire flooring, it's MORE than enough room for all of us. We can be together if we want, or we can get alone time if we need. Couple that with a nice big back yard to play in, and what more does one need?
Does this mean we live in 'micro-housing'? o.O
