I am sure that it is both of the first two choices. Welcome, enjoy, and do good things.

The concept is great, the technology is crufty and may well be a pile of crap. But that part will be fixed eventually. :)

Welcome aboard.

Furthermore, as Second Life goes to the Metaverse, and this becomes an open platform, Linden Lab risks lawsuit in court and [attachment culling] will, I repeat WILL be reverse in court.

Stay a while... that will change... lol

Seriously, SL "is" great. I remember my first few months when the apple was shiny and bright. Everything was so exciting and new. The challenge for us old folks is to allow ourselves to rediscover the passion we had for SL. Some things have change, that is for sure but I think overall for the better.

Go out there, be yourself, meet some peeps, have some fun, be as goofy as you want and find your place in this wonderful world. I may go through my ups and downs, you will too, but I love it here and will never leave.

Welcome to SL SeeSor, the best group of brilliant misfits I have ever found. :)

I've been a member for about a month now and I love it. I've been playing probably 2 hours a day on average, which is a lot for me as I'm not a "gamer".

But I'm finding a lot of weird effects from playing this much. My dreams lately seem to almost always take place in the SL world! I am my character, my avatar, and I can fly and make things materialize like in the game. Even when awake sometimes I find myself frustrated at the realization that I can't just soar into the air and fly where I need to go, or point at the ground and make a wooden cube appear (not that I have a great need for wooden cubes but once in a while they could come in handy).

Somehow SL just fits my intuition of how the world "ought" to be. The nature of reality in SL is very compatible with my perceptions and feelings, and it is tremendously attractive.

I am so glad you are loving it too. One day if not already it will dawn on you that SL really isn't a game and that's why most of us old timers are still here. The relationships I have here are just as strong and important to me as any of my RL ones. This is the true uniqueness that SL brings, a real online community with real emotions and feelings for each other. :)

Indeed, Second Life is great. No matter how much drama goes on, you still manage to find ways to have fun, from talking to new and interesting people, to landing that clothing design contract for a group to raiding freebies and spending an hour in a sandbox trying them all out.
