And? It amazes me how someone can afford the computer and connection to run SL but can't afford to buy just 1 USD worth of lindens to get verified with used info.

Some people don't want a credit card to complicate their lives. Some people have spending problems and eliminate all those things. Some people access from a PC that isn't theirs and don't want to risk exposing financial details. Some people have alts they feed money to. Because you see no problem with one dollar spent via the internet does not meet everyone shares that or is comfortable with that.
For note, I do have a premium account, and I buy L$ frequently, but I didn't used to be either. Keep your mind open to the perspectives of others please.

Oh no, I'm just saying on the surface I can't see it. I use a debit card with visa, not credit myself. I still see the need to protect myself against lawsuits due to trojan minors though.

From: Banking Laws Oh no, I'm just saying on the surface I can't see it. I use a debit card with visa, not credit myself. I do too, Banking, but I live in the US so it's not a problem with SL. If I lived in Brazil or Germany, my debit card (if I can get one) might not be usable. I actually have come around to liking the open registration. I'm meeting people who barely speak my language (I know maybe 5 words in Spanish, those 2 semesters of Spanish in college did me no good). I inspired another resident to work on an SL chat translator. When I have a day off, there are more people in world because we now include far more than just GMT plus the 4 US time zones. I like a lot of things about this - we are becoming a world community. What I do NOT like is how the Lindens threw the gates open with NO preparation and forethought. We're still waiting on land tools now that we should have had a month ago to cope with the increases in griefing and underage kids. I'm not letting LL off the hook on that in any way, even if I have come around to understand the reasons for opening up registration.

Sure more people that greif, but some good ones too. I wish we had the tools sooner, like you.
