Is there any way to export the contents of notecards to something like a doc file or a txt file IRL?
I'd like to read some of the things I've collected, but not have to be ingame to do it...
I know I can cut and paste, but is there a better way?
Thanks,
~Jenni~

I don't know if it would be "better", but you could write a script that would read the notecards and send the contents to you in email.
There are some limitations on how much text will fit in an email, so if you have a lower quantity/large volume each, it would be more efficient to copy and paste.

Specifically, notecards are limited to 64KB of text while emails are limited to 4K (headers included).

Hey, come to think of it, it should be pretty easy to code up something that would upload your scripts to a website. If you have one

Leonard, Eggy-
Thanks for suggestions. I don't know if a Yahoo 360 page counts as a website?

Or better yet, why bother with scripting at all. Highlight the text in the notecard, hit CTRL-C to copy it to the clipboard, open your favorite text editor (i.e. notepad.exe) and past the text into it. Perhaps not an elegant scripty type solution, but sometimes simplicy is best.

Open desired notecard...left click anywhere within the notecard then hit ctrl - a to highlight all text...hit ctrl - c to copy all text...minimize SL and open notepad or whatever text editor/word processor you prefer...hit ctrl - v to paste all text then save with a filename relavent to the text...voila, your notecard has been "exported" to your PC/MAC.
