Quick question about land abandonment

I have noticed many threads about abandoned land. How long would I have to be logged out before land that I have paid for is taken from me?

Do you WANT to abandon the land and stop having to pay tier or do you want to know how long you have your land for if you can't pay?

And being 'logged out' won't matter when it comes to land you owe money for....if after a certain amount of time your credit card does not accept the charges or is denied then yes you will lose said land, but LL is VERY good about giving folks time....more so than ANY other 'game'

Nyx, I can't even stay away for a day! It's not about my land, I just see that small plots are being put up for auction if the owner has not been around since say, last year. Some of the threads I have seen are regarding First Land, which if under 512sqm (and if the owner has no other land), there is no maintenance fee.

I'll give you an hypothetical example of what I am getting at.

Just say I have a nice little summer cottage on my sole piece of 512sqm land. At the end of the summer, I leave - not returning until next year. Will this land still be mine when I return? Does land get sold if I has not been around for a while but am still a premium member? Have there been cases of land-owners returning to find that someone else owns their land now?

It's not a rant, complaint, gripe, or anything like that. I'm new, and very curious about things. I would like to know how the land cleanup works.

I think as long as you keep your tier payments up, LL will keep your stuff pretty much indefinitely.

Ok I think he's talking about his free 512 w/ a premium account yes? They can't take that away....w/ a premium account you get a 512 free and clear. And if your premium account is being paid on time w/ a credit card it's all good.
