Hmm, script editor is letting me type about 1 character a second ...

... looks like we're going to need 1.11.0 (10) pretty sharpish :(

It's happening to me too and I'm on a PC. I went to an empty sim, turned down my graphics and still have the problem. Nothing is more annoying than typing a few spaces and having to wait a second or so.

I thought the editor window was purely client-side except when saving. Now I know that's not the case. LL please fix.

Oh, I don't think it's that, as I seriously doubt they've changed the editor so it reports every character back to the server. Probably what you are seeing is some inefficiency introduced in the UI code since the 1.11 scaling changes.

Which doesn't make this any less annoying of course. I haven't tried to edit script (or anything) since 1.11, so can't confirm this.

At least it improves my coding, since I have time to think between each keystroke. Someone at Linden Labs needs llCaffeine().

Mac user, I've had no problems. I haven't scaled my UI either.

PC user, my frame rates stutter when I type in the script editor. I haven't changed any of my UI settings from the default.

I think it's more prevalent is more complex scripts than trivial ones.

I've gone back to editing in emacs and copy/pasting my edits back to SL. Highly inconvenient, LL please fix.

PC user, noticed some slowless and difficulty switching between insert/overwrite today.

One thing I have noticed (and this was before 1.11) is that resizing the chat history brings my system to an absolute crawl. As long as I hold the mouse button down and drag the window corner, I get less than 1 FPS.

Mac user, I didn't notice this problem. I like the search and replace word feature and used it much, and it was also pretty fine.

PC user, it's definitely proportional to how large the script is. I had to wrestle with it all night to fix something ELSE that 1.11 broke. Not fun :(

Anyone else have this problem? 2 weeks ago I sent a bug report, and no word yet. I really want LL to fix it.

I haven't been in SL the last two weeks because testing/modifying large scripts is such a pain. There's no reason to start a new project if I get annoyed with the editor after the script reaches a certain size. I can't use an external editor the whole time because most of my projects need a lot of tweaking/testing/tweaking of variables. I think this bug will be the end of me.
