Anyone else coming home to find your place littered with objects? Last nite i had three individual hovering over our land with guns and bombs and littering the place.. I didnt do an AR report just banned them removed the litter and went to bed. This morning i get up and again my parcal is full to the limit by objects left. These accounts r all unverified accounts. I will not ban all unverifed accounts on my land because not all unverified accounts r griefers. What is happening here in SL? These children r littering SL. I have been in this game for almost 2 years and this month i have already had to do several AR's as well as add peeps to my ban list daily. How did the individual place objects on the land after he was banned? I had returned objects before going to bed so parcal should not of been full. This morning its full.. ARGHH

thanks for letting me vent!

In About Land... > Objects turn on autoreturn by setting it to some small number like '1' or '60' (1 minute or 1 hour in those examples). All that stuff would have been returned to their inventory.

You could do 3 things that come immediately to mind:

1. Fill up your land so tha no-one can rez anything
2. Set it to autoreturn after so many minutes
3. Don't allow others to create objects (under options)

There are probably other ways to handle it.

I didnt want to have to do the auto return since i have friends that use the property and I dont feel it would be fair to them. If there is a way to set it for more then 60 mins i may try the auto return. Will at least know i wont come home to a full parcal.. Just very irritating that peeps need to pull this crap.. I guess its one entertains the children here in SL..

Set it for 1440 minutes and give them 24 hours, then. It's up to you how long to set the autoreturn for.

It can go as high as you like. Hawaii had a 10,000 minute autoreturn at one point. That allowed for 'free' rentals of about a week.

3. Don't allow others to create objects (under options)

Here's a question ... my land is group-owned, with the group consisting of me and my partner (and one alt to make three until they change the group minimum to two). I wanted to avoid any potential littering problem by setting the option not to allow other residents to create objects, but then it didn't let ME rez anything.

I thought that as an officer of the group that owned the land (i.e., one of the co-owners) that I'd still be allowed to create objects, but apparently not. Is there a setting I'm forgetting?

Thanks!

Oh no =(

My girlfriend did that with her club once, took about 2 days to get it all back in order again, and another 2 days to put the skybox house back together above it.

Yikes!

Sorry to hear about your dilema. Remember to have your group tag active when rebuilding so this does not happen again. All objects on group land must be set to that group so as they are not returned.

If you need any help, let me know.

Sean, You are confusing Auto-Return with the "Cannot Create Objects" option ( not sure if that is the name of it or not).

You need to so the following:

1. You and your group members need to Make sure that all objects on the land are set to your group that owns the land, otherwise, when you turn on Auto-Return, they will be returned to you.

2. Deselect the "Cannot Create Objects" box.

3. Set auto return to the time limit you are comfortable with. You and group members will be able to create objects, but objects belonging to others outside of your group will have thier objects returned after the time limit you set.

Suggestion, turn on auto return to like 1-5 or 5-15 minutes whatever pleases you most.

It will take care of the junk and so on.

Look at her reply, apparently it took care of her junk too. She forgot to tell us it was group land and other members of her group had stuff there, it all got returned.

On the bright side, they get to rebuild bigger and better AND set it so that autoreturn can do it's thing.
