I am definitely a newbie to this, and I am really impressed. This has been the best of its type that I've ever seen.

I am curious about how to do certain things with the appearance of my character:

1. How do I make a bald head? I've searched the forum and could only find posts that say "when I make a bald head, it does this", but nothing that says how to actually make a bald head. I was able to get rid of the bushy hair (got it down to really short hair) and was able to get rid of the glasses that my character initially had (I had to remove items), but I can't figure out how to get down to the scalp when I have all the hair length attributes turned all the way down. I started with that character with the beige shorts, yellow shirt, and white overshirt, with glasses and bushy hair.

2. My character is big and fat, and I'm trying to find a way to get his pants to fit under his beergut instead of having the bottom of of it inside his pants/shorts.

3. Is there a way to make a really long beard (like ZZTop)?

1. You can shrink the hair all the way down. Just keep playing with the sliders.

2. Sounds like you need to find a pair of lowrider jeans. They're mapped out to not go all the way up to the waistline with a bit of transparency. Your belt will go round well under your waistline and you can, uh, let it all hang out.

3. Prim attachments. You can find out more in F1 = help, in a class regarding clothing and avaar attachments, or in most in-world tutorials on building. Also, look through the list of these forums for one that just might help.

Good thing I got this reply in fast. Kudos to our forum moderators and the Lindens busily banning the idiot trolls.

For the sake of creating a bald head, there must be something else that I'm doing wrong. I've tried all combinations, and there seems to be no way of getting to the scalp. Maybe my character has a tattoo of hair on his head or something... I'm not sure...

As far as the pants thing goes--do I get these lowrise pants at a store? I've tried making the waist lower by customizing pants, but it doesn't go low enough in the front to get under my character's gut.

Lowering the 'pants height' slider is going to make the waistband or belt (if the pants have them) disappear anyway, so that's probably not what you want.

If you're looking for free jeans that are designed to have a low waistband, you might try some of the free women's jeans (c'mon, for jeans they're the same thing).

I think some of the hair sliders are labeled backwards so that the direction that says "less" is actually "more" so you have to try it and see.

You should be able to get bald, but if you can't, there are 'bald base" things that you wear as if they were hair. I know some hair sellers give them out with their free (or $L1) prim hair samples so people can just wear them (as hair) under the sample prim hair (which is an attachment) instead of messing with the sliders.

A long beard will be a prim attachment. Any store that sells men's prim hair should be able to tell you where to get one, or you could make it yourself.

With a default male avatar, do Appearance, Style, and slide hair volume all the way to the left. That should get rid of the hair. If needed slide the rest of the hair controls to the short or less positions. To get rid of sideburns use the Facial button, and slide Sideburns all the way to the left.

If that doesn't take the hair off you must have hair made into the skin or hair in a tattoo layer, or prim hair.

If you meant in real life, the passage of time seems to accomplish this goal for many with no special effort applied.

Jesus Christ the Son of God didn't come to judge us but to save us so that we can go to heaven instead of hell when we die.

Nobody knows exactly when they are going to die this is why you need to make Jesus Christ your personal Lord and Savior today.

You may die in a traffic accident or some other way before you get another chance to be saved.

You need to make Jesus Christ your personal Lord and Savior so that you will go to heaven instead of hell when you die.

The graphic reports of hell in the Holy Bible such as the abyss, the lake of fire, the blackest darkness, the weeping and gnashing of teeth, disclose the stark reality of a place eternally separated from the love of God. (Rev. 9:1-11) (Rev. 20:14) (Jude 13) (Matt. 25:30)

Many people wrongly think that being a good person will get them into heaven.

Because the Son of God flawlessly obeyed God’s moral law in our place, He is uniquely qualified to be our Savior. On the cross, Jesus Christ offered Himself to the Father(God) as a sinless sacrifice for sinners.

Jesus Christ took the punishment for our sins so that we can live forever in heaven when we die if we simply make him our personal Lord and Savior.

Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem, Israel about 2000 years ago and lived a sinless life for 33 years. He was beaten, crowned with thorns, nailed to a cross and then he died and was buried.

Three days later God raised him from the dead proving that he was who he claimed to be, the Son of God.

This historical event was witnessed by many people before Jesus Christ went back to heaven. (Acts 13:30-32)

The Holy Bible describes heaven as a beautiful place with no death, sickness, sorrow or pain. (Revelation 21:3-4)

The Holy Bible says "If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)

If you would like God to forgive you so that you will go to heaven when you die just say a meaningful prayer like the one below and God will hear you and save you:

Dear Jesus Christ, I want to make you my personal Lord and Savior right now. Please forgive me of all my sins or things that I have done wrong in my life. I believe you are Lord and that God raised you from the dead. I thank-you for shedding your sinless blood and dying on the cross for my sins so that I can have a home in heaven. Amen.

If you just now made Jesus Christ your personal Lord and Savior you are now a true Christian and welcome to the family of God.

Now that you are saved you should strive to live a Godly life because now you represent Jesus Christ.

You should also find a church to attend on Sundays and if they say that you need to do more to go to heaven than what you have already done then leave and find a real Christian church in your area if possible.

I found this great Bible website where you can look-up the Bible verses that I used in this message.

www.blueletterbible.com - I listed below the Bible verses used in this message.

(Revelation 9:1-11)
(Revelation 20:14)
(Jude 13)
(Matthew 25:30)
(Acts 13:30-32)
(Revelation 21:3-4)
(Romans 10:9)

I guess I'm just way too new at this to know where I can get these kinds of pants, and way too new to know how to remove the tattoo layer or prim hair. When I go to "detach object", there is nothing I can select.

I thought that maybe I didn't have the option because I was still a free member, so I upgraded and it didn't change anything...

I figured it out. I didn't expect the search option to work as nice as it did. :)

There is help information available by pressing F1. You can also access this help at http://secondlife.com/app/help/index.html

Right click your avatar and select Appearance. You will have options for hair and skin. In the hair controls there will buttons for style and facial.

Click the Skin button to get to the tatoos.

(I should be able to enclose the appearance editor on one monitor and drag it into this edit box.)

The appearance help is at http://secondlife.com/app/help/avatar/appearancemode.html
