In spite of the most-of-the-day downtime, today is a good day! Today me and my online partner Katia Ixtab celebrate TWO YEARS of carrying on like teenagers in love. We had some things planned for in-game, but that's ok. She's got some RL distractions today anyway, so help me please in telling her that's SHE'S THE BEST! And happy day to her! wooot! I'm forwarding the link. :)

By the way, who's got us beat? I'd like to hear from other long-timers out there. Let's hear your story here too. (Please don't throw anything at me :D )

Congratulations! I cant beat 2 years. But, I am just a few days beyond 8 months!
My partner and I also live in vastly different time zones. We are 4,ooo miles and 7 hours apart.

I would love to hear from others who are in very long distance relationships.

My best to all as we "endure" another long lock-out!

Love is wondrous.

Congratulations!

I didn't have any special anniversaries of the sorts but I always love hearing these kind of things. They're so... sweet.

Anyone else celebrate something special today?

Congratulations that makes a long time together in a world where relationships rarely last for more than a few months.

My wife and I are together in SL for about 6 months now and we are about 6000 miles and 9 hours apart ... just means I'm lucky it matches my work and sleep schedule more than if she was in my country :p

Congratulations, that rocks.

I've only been with my partner Ylusive for a few months, but I've known her pretty much since my start here, and the day I met her, I just knew. Still took me months to do something about it, even after she moved next door. I laugh at myself now, but still frequently get tongue tied. She's amazing.

By online partner, do you mean online-only or SL-only or something?
Me and my gf met on IRC... almost seven years ago. We are still together and very much in love. In fact if all goes well (as in, we both get our MSc. and reasonably stable jobs) we're planning on getting married next year.

It is encouraging to see a SL relationship with such lasting strength. :) I don't have you beat for length of a SL relationship, as is evident by my rezday date, but seeing as my SL wife is also my RL wife of almost nine years, I think we're using different measuring sticks. :p

As you know a relationship such as yours is a rare thing and so is the friendship we share..... * smiles* You know I was there when your love affair began & I have found so much pleasure not only in the love that the two of you share but in the bond of friendship that exsists between us. It is indeed a very rare thing. I want Y/you to know I love you and I love our secondlife.

Jennyfur and I have been together in RL for 6 years now... and SL since she joined in 2003, although we've never officially partnered. Given that the average SL partnership lasts, oh, about 10 days, we didn't want to jinx it. ;)

Bring back Jade'n'Torley!

AND CONGRATS TO BOTH OF YOU! :)

Regards,

-Flip

Congratulations - two years rocks!

Stylez and I are going on a year in both SL and RL (RL coming only shortly after SL) and are 1400 miles apart.

But I'll be travelling up to where he lives on the 16th of this month, and we'll be getting married! Yay! :)

We are online-only, yes, a little over a year in SL and carrying over from an additional year in another online world. Eggy, that's awesome, and congrats! We do keep it online avatars only because of having RL commitments, SL is our happy little game world only.THANKS for all the congrats and is also great to hear from other long timers! (Wait..did that sound like prison?) ;) I don't think she saw the forum here yet but I'm sending it again.
