I have visited properties, that have movies available.

I have all the audio video settings activated. I've optimized my network bandwidth to the maximums, both disck cashing and raw bandwodth available.

However, I can not get the movies to show on my screen. I get the sound perfectly, but I am beyond baffled as to how I can actually see the movie I'm hearing.

Moreover, I've asked a couple people in game and they don't know either.

Can anyone show/tell me how this is done?

Thanks in advance.

You must have Quicktime installed on your system. My suggestion is do a google search for Quicktime 6 it seems to work better with SL than QUicktime 7.

I do have Quicktime 6.5.2 installed (the standard version)

Update: Sorry, I understand it now. I was under the impression that the movie would pop up on my screen (being Quicktime, or whatever). I didnt realize you had to be in a theather to see it.

Timo - not sure from your response if you figured this out, but if not: you can set the texture that you want to be your movie screen right where you set the URL for the movie. Just click on it and choose a texture from your inventory, or drag and drop a texture from your inventory to that little square. You can make your own theatre right on the side of a prim.
