Warning to those who download their transaction history..

They did somethign to it so you can only get about 2 weeks right now.. So if you were used to the old way and only downloaded every 3 weeks or so your gonna loose data.

I don't know why they keep springing changes on us lately.. What the heck is going on over there? First we get open registrations. I have mixed feelings about that, the griefing potential being the biggest one. Inventory changes.. Log in.. POOF!! where's my clear button? Was it being naughty. Was it naked? WTF!! Now this.. Is this some sort of weird joke?

I do like being able to download more of the history, but why do they always screw up half the functions to add one? Do they have a limit of how many functions they are allowed per interface? Kinda like cussing on t.v... I'll allow you two buttons and a picture, but you can't have 2 pictures and a button. but you can have 2 pictures and a hyperlink etc etc ad nauseum..

God I know. Not only can you only get two weeks of it at a time, you get useless data like how many times you traded crap from your inventory, like even a notecard, to someone else. It's a complete mess.

I really, REALLY wish they had announced this change BEFORE they did it, instead of slipping it in under the radar. I lost two weeks of my transaction history because LL didn't bother announcing this.

Thanks Zalandria, i was probably going to do download my transactions next weekend, which would have cost me a few days. I was just in time.

How incredibly inconsiderate that they made this change with no warning to us. I had expected to have a few more days to download my transaction history for the month, now 12 days is lost.

It's not the same as getting a handy Excel file but you can still copy your transactions for the last month from Account History in SL to a text file so they're not lost totally.

On the other hand, there is some value in knowing who and how many are picking up any freebies you might have out. I dont remember that we had visibility into that data before this change.

I haven't gone and started a proposal or anything because I don't think it would reflect yet how people really feel about it until they've had a chance to try it.

My opinion right now after looking at it closely is... sorry, I hate it. I have no use for all the give inventory and 0L$ data and in fact it prevents me from being able to see at a glance the information I do need... which I often need at a quick glance.

I've also lost now two weeks of information I didn't get to take down, it's just gone. So now when someone asks me about anything they bought between June 1st and June 12th I'll have to say I dont have it.

For some people they want that information, yes and I understand that. I didn't want, I never wanted it. I chose to mark all the boxes 0L$ knowing that if I wanted to track them I could mark them for 1L$ instead. With all of the boxes I have placed all over, this now means I have pages of records I'll never use. For me it's not just a few purchases here and there, it's two and three dozens a day.

I think it would just be nice if it were optional as Torley mentioned... so people who want it can have it and people like me who don't can shut it off.

My transaction history on the web site seems to have stopped showing transactions after around 2pm PST yesterday. Anybody else noticed this? I can't get anything to appear that occured after that time.

I noticed the same problem, the client transaction history shows transactions after 2pm 06/27, the web transaction history cuts off at 2:07 pm. I wrote to support about that, waiting to hear back.

Yus, I got several thousands of L yesterday and I don't know where it came from. lol

Yup I have the same problem.

The 0L$ transactions were in the downloadable file before this change. Looking back through saved files, they've been there at least since Jan, just not displayed on the web page.

Just wanted to post we're aware of this--and want to get it fixed ASAP. We'll update as soon as it's fixed to be clear to let you all know!

Getting ready to start charging for Inventory Transfers, too?

Prior to this update, when a product was sold in world, the data collected and sent included name of the person that paid me, their location thus vendor location, and what was purchased. This information was regardless if it was a vendor or out of a sales box.

Now...the information I get is the name of the person, what they bought, and date. Can we have location back please? I use that information to place vendors or renew my lease. It would be nice to have back what was purchased as well...but if I have only one suggestion then please give me back location.
