Is there anything protecting content creators from someone coming and just duplicating their creations? I know the DCMA but what I mean have any players ever tried to form their own regulations? I would think if enough of the populaton got on board, LL would be forced to work with them.
I recent made something and my neighbor copied me and put it in his shop. I think that plain sucks.

It sucks - but not much you can do  Players can't really DO anything to other players - and to be honest the whole 'You have the IP rights to your creations' et. al. was just so much bunk publicity bullshit that was spun before the 'you can make money in SL' line came along.

Ty, its something you just have to accept in SL. There are those with imagination and creativity, and those who like to just see a successful item in SL and make their own version. In a way its a good thing for the community though. It is incentive to take your original product and make it better.

Accept that other people will try to do the same things that bring you success. The trick is in either finding something no one else can do, or do on the same level of quality at least, or keep imagining new things.
