Absolutely agreed. How this was NOT built in in the first place before launch is a better question.

At least a little warning before it's pooferated. Barring that, just de-activate it rather than delete it. I'd rather not have to re-write my ads every week.

Lindens - have a look at Flip's banner system on SLBoutique... now that's a nice way to go about it. :)

Hmm. (Warning: Brainstorm!) The amount payed decaying over time relative to the amount of life left in the ad (one week from the last 50L$ or more payment)... letting you renew that amount at any time.

How about allowing buying a month or two if you can't figure out how to code a simple "auto-renew" or notification function.

Absolutely irks me too. I seem to remember before that we would get a notice that it was coming up due, and if we'd like to renew. Maybe I am wrong and it is just something that I hope for. Either way, it could use some work.

I'm glad it's not just me who's SICK of having to type it out again every time it expires and I don't notice !

I think they figured that auto-renewing would be troublesome to those that forget that had it checked and accidently pay for something they didn't want, or those who don't actually have the money to auto-renew when the bill comes without any real warning. Some sort of notification or warning will help a ton though.

Because there isn't anyone at LL who has even bought a book - let alone read it - on HCI or UI design? Just guessing...
