My question is how come push was disabled in weapons testing? I know it get rather annoying to be working on something and look up and realize you are 2billion meters up in the sky, but isnt the point of weapons testing to be able to test things out?
I also realize that the noob griefers are now going to start finding the push enabled places and having all creating all kinds of hell! Some of my friends and I (until today) use to goto weapons testing just to have a lil fun and meet others that are out for the same reason. i dont like going to jessie or rausch to just goof off because it seems people look on the map and go ohhh somebody is at rausch and that means they want to be killed and tp in, shoot from 96 meters away and send you back home. I never intentionally attacked somebody for no reason at weapons testing only the people that seem to ask or have a sign on there head that said "Imma moron and going to blast eveybody" ( yea a noob had a titler that said that).
Now that Weapons Testing is no push it seems pointless to call it Weapons Testing instead of something like Another Sandbox that is closer to Rausch than the others.
All I want is to have a place where people can gather and have fun playing with there "TOYS"! I want to make it VERY CLEAR I do not advocate griefing by no means at all. I do think LL should consider a place that isnt damage eneabled that you can play with your weapons in without having to constantly tp back and hope nobody is standing at the forced rezz point and shooting at you again will your client finishes loading the sim.
I am open and willing to here any comments regarding this only thing is please refrain from derailing the topic at hand with accounts of people griefing you. I totally sympatize with anybody that has been griefed, been there wasnt fun for me and still isnt fun. Then main thing I want to know is how many people would like to have a "Sandbox" that is just used for goofing off with weapons like Rausch but without damage enabled.

I assume this was done to keep it from becoming yet another insta-kill zone. The intent is to have a place to work on building weapons and perform script tests on them without being orbited in the middle of a project. For true testing, you can go to the combat islands and fire at will. I haven't been there in a long time, but if I remember right, damage is also disabled in the weapons sandbox.
Weapons Testing is probably a poor name choice, but I don't think it should be made push-enabled.

But what if all you want to do is socialize with some people and maybe have a lil shootout, without getting killed, Rausch and Jessie are breading grounds for people wanting to just instakill everybody that shows up. I dont mind having my friends at my place but then I dont want the island to turn into an testing center so that is out of the question. Im not asking then to turn damage on Im asking them to turn push back on! Because really whats the point of having a testing area when you cant test the stuff appropiatly.

Well I asked in answers but I gotta say its an improvement. Combat sandbox wasn't somewhere you could afford to not spend all your time sitting down as a lot of non builders would treat it like a combat sim to mess around in.
I don't think the proper test argument works as damage isn't enabled. You can test everything except the combat elements of a script and a proper combat sim is the most appropriate place to test them.

Very true Etta, but I dont know of anywhere is world where you can go and just goof off and hang out with people friends or not with weapons. Most places are so scared you are going to shoot the place up that if you show up with a weapon your are almost guarunteed to be banned. I get tired of the noobies with the cage orbitors and the super duper orbitors attacking everybody in sight but when your with a group of friends goofing off, or even if your alone building in the sandbox, your friends normally can retaliate for you untl you get back. As for when your there alone just trying to create a awesome product(which BTW ppl Etta made the desert eagles even better) I know from my experience if a noob attacks somebody that was minding their business somebody will step up and school hte noob on hte rules of engagemnet.
