What the heck?

Ive been on dial up since Friday, and wont be back on high speed until Wednesday, so I havent been able to log into SL. However, I got a message in my email from SL that some dude returned all my objects from my land.

What the heck?

well i hope he didnt do that,but i wanted to tell you that they have had major trouble with the assett server this weekend,and are as im typing this so it may be related.

If you tell me where your land is before bed I'll give it a once-over for you & let you know what I see.

Is it rented land? Did you not pay your rent?

It might conceivably have something to do with a recent problem that occured during normal use of the object editing system owing to a bug introduced by Linden Lab in the latest normally scheduled upgrade. It's hard to say for sure because posts describing the bug have been deleted from view. I believe this bug caused objects to be returned to their owner.

Its land I own, and I had it for sale, so I figured it had sold, and the new owner had returned my objects, but then I checked, and I dont have increased $L suggesting it being sold, and no notice that somebody paid me $L or bought the land.. Somebody did "return all objects" because I got a email from SL with a gazillion things being returned, and then a second one with a "things are being returned at en excessive rate" thing.

Anyhow, heres my land. All my stuff was up at 400-500m, btw.

The land at that location is not in your name.

Perhaps you failed to set the price correctly?

I'm on the parcel and it's 1024m2 irregularly shaped. It's currently owned by someone else.

I'm assuming the time listed is based on my local time. The time claimed is roughly 3 hours ago or about 7:29pm July 30 SLT. It's also on sale for L$10,000.

Damn, I have no idea what the heck happened....I had it set at $6995L, I know that. Even if for some reason it wasnt set right, I should have gotten a notice that it had sold, or that I had received a payment for a certain amount. And I sure as heck didnt "return" the land to the lindens.

Grrrr.

Was it group owned? In that case you get your money tomorrow. There is a one day delay in payment for group owned land.

You do not get a offline notice when you get paid or when land sells. Have you checked the 'my account' page to see if your balance went up?

Also you *CAN* login to SL from dialup although it is pretty miserable....Just be sure to set your network speed down to 50 and dumb things down graphically as much as possible, don't try to do anything in a hurry and you should be ok.

I had a problem after the grid issues this weekend where I'd be drop something to edit, have it unlinked, and even though I've got my group set, and the autoreturn is set properly, the stuff I just set out would get autoreturned. I shrugged, figured I'd use the sandbox (in Pi, next to my shop) instead. ... same fuckin' thing. ARRGGGH!!!!!

Sorta cramped my willingness to create.

Interesting... I've been having things autoreturned from sandboxes whilst I've been working on them, about 10 minutes when autoreturn is supposed to be 2 hours. I wonder if there's a problem somewhere?

Remember, too, that the sale will be evenly distributed amongst the members of the Group. I don't know if it handles Officers and Members differently or not.

Well if worst comes to worst, youv'e been victom of some land exploit and might need to bring that to LL attention.

But if its like mentioned above, you just gota wait for the group hold to pay you the money.

As for what lewis is describing, i and several people have been having this problem since 1.11 came out. Heres a topic about it. /111/bc/121282/2.html#post1187956 The same thing is happening on the preview grids too. It's like LL is either not caring,duno how to fix it, or hasnt got around to it. :/ Check out the age of that topic too... Youd think they would have noticed by now.
