Please don't let this become a flame war, please don't let this degenerate into personal attacks..

Anyway!

I was playing Quake III just now, and only just sort of, thought, that my avatar in quake is female.. I chose it because its easier to strafe jump and its one of the few thats jumping noise doesn't annoy the shit out of me.. I never though of it really, being a shoot em up.. But it got me thinking, is it the same?

I think its more important if you can see the avatar.. the like of quake you only see yer avie when your pwned.. in Sl though its says more about your personality..

in my opinion men in girl avies or girl in men avies are for one of 2 reasons

1. man in girl avie so he can get his avatar in avie sex easier.. not nesesarily gay.. but just wants to see it more and easier.. a lot of men in SL are like starved dogs for women (as some of the IM's Scarlet recieves and shows me prove), and will without question or thought jump into sex with a cute girl avie.. kinda wrong.. but um.. buyer beware

2. Man in girl avie because most of the content created for men seems to be geared only for goth, ghetto or just plain bland.. he quickly realises that to have a truley great avatar thats still humanthat simply adding boobies opens doors to a lot more creativeness.. without having to get Photoshop, learn it, and then start making his own (at that point he'll realize that to make money he'll need to make Goth, Ghetto, bland clothing or girls!!).. oh the circle of er... circleiness.

also I bet a lot of women wear man avatars because of aformentioned starved dogs..

I personally dont think it really matters.. once you strike a friendship with someone you find out what sex they really are, in the end.. its pixels

To each their own. I don't care if you're living or fantasy as a woman. Looking al the percentage of fashion for woemn, I think about it too sometimes. Then I realize, I loke LOOKING at the nice dresses and lingerie, and not wearing them.

What's the point of erotic fiction? Its not like those stories are happening to you.

What's the point of looking at someone attractive? You probably aren't going to do anything with them.
