I went to make a new alt because I just can't wait to be the first on my block to experience the new third-class status. So I was really psyched when I saw that one of the last names now available was Donburi. I immediately tried to take the name Katsu -- because this is one of my favorite japanese dishes. Alas it is not available. Why have you done this Linden Labs? Why have you made me a sad Vivi? All I wanted in the world was to be a Japanese pork chop dish and it is not to be. Alas and sigh. I am sad.

On a related note... There must not be a lot of hockey fans on this forum since no one has mentioned they are dropping a lot of famous hockey player names into each mix, mainly original six teams. Personally, I am drumming my fingers waiting for famous Rangers, and I'm not happy watching the Islander, Bruins and Red Wing names come up and yet... no Rangers. I'm watching, LL. If I don't see my team soon...

Hahaha, great. I was wondering what's so seriously wrong with LL making so many surnames after food in Japanese (Aji, Ponzu, Nori, Akami, Nasu, Ebi, Daikon, Chikuwa, etc). Now it looks like they really mean it.
There's been an influx of new residents from an internet forum, which is rather infamous for the mob mentality of the regulars and can be described as a Japanese equivalent of somethingawful.com. Looking at their group panel they seem to prefer stupid food names. So if you're thinking of naming your alts after Japanese food, make sure you grab them quick.
So far I hear they have been docile and corrected their misbehaviour when told, but I won't be surprised if the majority of them turned out to be minors. Great "internationalization", LL!

From: Soleil Mirabeau I tried to register a bunch of hockey names. All taken There is a certain name of my favorite player I want to grab before anyone else. Just to protect it, lol. The thought of some jerk taking his name would be... distressing to moi.

From: Soleil Mirabeau I tried to register a bunch of hockey names. All taken All of them? Even Michel Goulet is taken? Everyone should have an alt named Michel.
