There are additional fixes in the works to address the low frame rate problems across the grid. We anticipate getting another patch out this next week to fix those problems.

Excellent!

:) :p

Also...

variation on a theme...

We know that the frame rate has dropped, and the engineers are working on a patch for early next week. Please hang on - there isn't anything I can do from the hotline, although I have alerted the gridmonkey to please take a look to make sure there isn't anything additionally happening.

I know it's been a tough week, but things are relatively stable now and the few isolated problems are well under control. In nearly every case where a sim with < 10 people is stalling it is due to a single bug, and once that's fixed in the next patch sim performance should be better overall than in 1.6.

For now, just stay away from Welcome Area... :)

Thanxies for the news, Yedwab!

What timing!

Guess where I am now? ;)

It's slow... but it's beautiful being here. :)

Does this mean I will ultimately be able to see textures with the speed I used to? (Which wasn't exactly speedy, but was a heck of a lot better than now.)

Or is my computer just rendered obsolescent by 1.7, in terms of textures?

Dude I love Linden Lab =0

They actually listen to what people say whereas most companies don't.

IMO.

I can't wait for my client to get back on its feet at full speed =)

Oh wait, Sim FPS or client FPS? I mean, my client FPS have dropped drastically since 1.7's debut. I'm getting 5 fps in Lusk X_X

Even though there may be around several folks there, my client struggles a lot more than it did in 1.6... is there a bug causing that as well? I sure hope so, so it can be fixed! =[

What is the status on a fix for the disabled object-to-object trasfers outside your own property? A lot was broken with this, is there a short-term plan to get it working again without the griefing risks?

At the very least I can say, this is a much bigger improvement than when 1.6 came out.

My computer room is painted robin's egg blue: appropriate for a 40s bungalow attic room.
I love it.

Robin Linden's swell too. :-)

We got Lindens asking mentors to go TO the welcome areas, now we get Lindens advising us to stay away?

Whatever is a girl to do?

Advice from Yedwab Linden should be treated with caution -Yedwab is Satan! ;)

Is this regarding performance as in Sim performance or Client FPS?
