So far, I have built a profile and that's all. I'm downloading the Second Life installer, but I'm not sure how to get into the world. Any help would be good  |

So far so good!!! When you get the game installed.. go ahead and type in your first name and last name in the fields with your password..then click "connect". That will bring you in game to the welcome area.. There you will meet a BUNCH of Linden helpers and they will teach you the ropes..  |

don't rush through orientation island.. or newbie island..or whatever the call it. Take your time. Make some contacts with people coming into the world at the same time as you. They can be your first and longest friends. Welcome to SL. |

Welcome to SL. Once you are in game look for people with the tag "Mentor" over their name. Ask them to explain anything you need help with.
