Gaze upon the horror of step-by-step improvements. From: someone Release Notes for Second Life 1.8.4(2) Feb 17, 2006 ==================================== * Improved rendering of HUD objects * Maximum nighttime brightness level can now be raised ** Default value of 1.5 is unchanged * llSetText alpha parameter is no longer ignored * Try to connect to server before opening application in full screen mode so that firewall alert can be seen by user * Streaming music no longer restarts when walking from one parcel to another * Nametag will change when editing appearance to let other residents know you are doing so * Additional fix for issue with water level not being correct upon entering a region * Find > All now has a "Mature" checkbox * Resolved an issue with "Position" button being selected and color change being undone * Several minor UI issues were resolved I'd like to know more about 'Minor UI issues'. Myself. The rest seem pretty cool. And we all know how I love hud objects.

From: Burke Prefect * Nametag will change when editing appearance to let other residents know you are doing so Im so relieved this is being implemented. So many times I've walked up to people that were editing their appearance and I'd say "hey why are you standing like a scarecrow" and they'd reply "Im editing my appearence". This will save me hours of time because obviously Im not bright enough to know someone in that stance was in fact editing their appearance without some notification by their name tag. LOL!

Hey Jonas,
they closed the thread before I could reply to you, and you don't have private messages on, but I wanted to let you know I agree with you 100% regarding not purchasing from rude people. I keep a list of people I won't buy from; it even includes several people whom I feel were rude in non-business ways - I figure, like you do, that rudeness=no purchase.

So do you investigate these claims or just assume every complaint is valid? The person in the recent incident wasnt even here to defend themselves. So if Im in business and have a competitor, I could just use an alt, post in the forums about how rude my competitor was and many of you would just blindly believe me and write them off? BTW I dont know the person in question from the other thread.

Oh, and sorry we're hijacking - I didn't mean that I keep a list of every complaint somebody's said, I meant that I keep my OWN list, based on my own experierences. Sorry for the confusion.

It's not hijacking, it's.... extending the life of the thread!
I don't buy from people I know to be rude. But I don't buy much at all.

Eh to me its a simple concept.. good customer service will get you more customers.. bad service will lose you everything.

Doing it this often is, though I wasn't referring to SL at the time.
