What exactly is undemocratic about the majority of people in SL not wanting to be harassed, sworn at, shot at, had bombs thrown at? When did orbiting become the only criteria for griefing and who accused you of being a griefer? Besides, SL is not a democracy - it is owned and wholly controled by LL who can make whatever rules they wish. You can create whatever means you like to circumvent their hardware restrictions, but it is a bit disingenious to cry for democratic rules when this is not a public place, but a private destination created by people who work hard to create a fun environment and don't wish to be harassed by people who have no desire but to stir up people's reactions and emotions. Griefers are called griefers for a reason - not because they speak their opinion, but because they run around shooting people, setting off bombs, caging people and generally trying to cause people grief. If you have never orbited anyone, it is beside the point if you help others to do so by spreading such exploits or hacks. |

Thats crap... MAC address is just one part of the system they are using, Your unique ID is based upon lots of things some of them being: Volume serial number of the system volumes (displayed with dir-command) MAC address of the network card (displayed with netstat -r -n) Identification string of the CD ROM drive Etc etc... much as WPA (Windows Product Activation) is. |

Any control method can be cracked. LL knows this. This wasn't implemented to stop smart griefers it was implemented to stop stupid griefers. Now go do something useful with your imagined cleverness and stop wasting our time.
