I have a renter who has a jvd player and screen. I do not know how to allow her to use it in her rental home. It is on group owned land.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

I am inclined to say it will work if they deed the player to the group, but that sounds too easy.

They cant deed the player to the group, they are not an officer of the group. If they're renting on land that is deeded to a group, the only way they can have access to the media is if they're a member of the group. You're right that you need to be an officer to be able to deed the scripted object, but they only need be a member to be able to then operate it. So I would suggest that the object is given to an officer, and that officer can deed it for them. That will require some trust on the behalf of the object owner, of course. |

They cant deed the player to the group, they are not an officer of the group. they have to give it to you, and you can deed it to the group. ![]() Does it allow operation by them though, deeded to group? _____________________

slboutique has a 300 linden media player designed to deal with renters on group land.
Some players have add-on objects that make them renter controllable. I see a free open source media player script at /54/0a/53520/1.html _____________________

This is what we do...

At Skye condos, if you get a radio, or tv screen that is multi user, and there are alot out there, we have the tenant pass it to us (we are officers) and we deed to land, and set out where they want it..same with the remote..and set it "to anyone can move" When the tenant gets ready to move out, we simply take the items back in and pass back to them.
You do have to have land that is parcelled to each condo, so that the unit will work in only their area, but thats really about it. Hope this helps.. ![]() |
