My thread, Jaftatsg, has been moved. And really it has been moved to a place so secret it does not show up. Is this an exampple of moderation under the new regime? Threads do not close, they just get moved to a super secret location by some angry resmod? Something that must be done is to ensure that when threads are moved, closed or deleted, explanation is given. Jeska was alaways very good at this, and now the ball is being dropped. Just one more reason why the resmod system, as it is currently set up, is a joke: it appears very arbitrary. Its not clear from this action if the topic was inappropriate, or if the discussion got out of hand. I can assume it was all about me. Are there any statandards for moderation that require explanations for decisions? or is this dissappearing post thing just a away to delete without having to explain the deletion?

We can only hope because it was a pointless stupid thread someone was smart enough to remove it.

As always your acidic qualities fail to express you wisdom or your personality. I supopose it was contributions like someone's "reported" that render it stupid and pointless and thus ruin the forums for all of us. Thanks you for playing, come again.

I thought they had decided to just lock them until J reviewed?? Now they are whisking them away again? Nice.

So does anyone else actually have an opinion about whether posts should be locked for linden reivew, or just moved? I believe "questionable" threads should be closed for Linden review. IMMEDIATELY and CONSISTENTLY. Flame-fests... well, those should probably be moved - and a reason should be given as to why the thread no longer appears.

This was my fault Jake, I forgot to move the thread back to the General forum after it was closed. Blame it on the relaunch of the Greeter 2.0 program, the second 'phase' of the ResMod test and the Mass Wedding happening in the space of the same 2 days. Myself and the Linden forum admins pledge to review any threads marked for Linden viewing within 24 hours. Again, I apologize for the delay in review.

Thank you Jeska, I appreciate the comment. I think if the resmod program has any chance of being succesful, it needs to build in a certain amount of predicatbility and consistency. I think one huge issue that has always run throught the forums is not always having a sense of reasonable expectation.
When forum posters do not know what to expect, then enforcement can seem random and haphazard. I know a lot of the problem in the past has been the overwhelming volume of posts. The resmod progrma does increase the available number of moderators.
But now the worrysome aspect is will these resmods apply consistent guidelines. I think many here fear that posts that tick off resmods as residents will be actioned against by residents as resmods.

Beaver porn is more or less dangerous to society than fish porn?
