So right behind my plot is a huge building of mammoth porportions of nothing but plywood... They are in the middle of making a "court house". I like what they are trying to do for the community but for a month now I have had to look at the ugly thing!!!!

I have now decided to build a wall, on their property hiding this ugly thing!!!
I even politely asked them to just texture that area for looks.. sigh...

So why am I posting here, I guess I feel kinda bad and I want to know if I was completely rude or what :(

Well, you can't build a wall on their property, but you could always put one on yours, if you have any ...

Personally, I'd ignore it, but I guess I'm used to staring at plywood, being a builder myself these days. ;)

Build the wall (make it phantom) on your property in such a way that it blocks your view of the offending building. Put a nice texture that you like on the side that is facing you . On all the other sides, make it transparent. This way you don't have to look at the ugly building and your neighbor doesn't have to look at your ugly wall.

I did this when my neighbor moved his really, really tacky vendor displays (they are flashing lights and gaudy colors) right next to my water front pier that all my friends hang out on.

So now we have pretty pictures to look at (I played with the textures so the entire wall is one big picture) and his customers don't even know the walls are there. Be polite and make the wall phantom so someone flying along from the transparent side won't smack into it. :)

Catch up, Ingrid Ingersoll declared the first of the Plywood Wars months ago. Her side won a great victory but then lost the second war due to half the troops defecting to the Greywood Wars. Now it's just kind of a freeforall!

I have seen the servers, and they are assuredly not plywood. But few people know that each Linden Labs server is powered by a small herd of hamsters in a wheel. Breeding more hamsters is easy once you have enough on-hand, but the generators and wheels are expensive, and are the main reason why private islands cost so much.

If PETA ever finds out what Philip and company are doing, a day of bitter judgement shall surely follow...

I know how you can make low prim walls. a torus twisted postive 90 on both numbers, and a hole size of 1.00 and 0.05 make 30x30x.5(half meter thick) walls, thats 2 times over a 10x10x-- cube can do in terms of visual coverage.

It is possible to redefine the default texture key so that every single piece of default plywood looks to you like something else... oak, perhaps, or maybe "Impeach Bush" textures.

oh that would be lovely

I think people are misunderstanding when I say it is a LARGE BUILDING OF PLYWOOD, not a small one... not one that would fit on 512 or twice that, but way larger.. -.-

i have another neighbor that has some plywood in his yard, but it is not encompassing the view so it does not bother me.. so i am not picking on plywood.. jeeshhh

That would be awesome. I should do that...
