There are at least a few people for whom the Preview 1.9.1.10 worked who are finding that the latest one, 1.9.1.11, is crashing on startup.
It might be good for lots of folks to try it out and send the the crash reports and post in the Preview forum if it crashes.

Once they get the preview grid back up that is. ;P Edit> I know this should go in one of the hundreds of "You know you've been playing SL too long when..." threads, but is it both sad and wrong that I wake up puking/sicker than I've been in like 10 years, and the very first(and predominate) thought rattling around in my head is "I get to play around in SL today if I'm calling off work, then! I hope they have the preview grid up and I can get in!" Edit> P.P.S Just sayin...

I suppose I should have made my post more generic, like "Please try the current preview, if there is a current preview, and if it is running currently, or if not, then when there is one, and it is running, please try it then."

Call me curious
But i read the annoncements re 1.9.1 being down and something sorta fishy struck me ( teach me to sit by the lake and type )
1.We will be removing old machines to replace it with new machines.
then
2.Some of the machines that comprise the Preview grid didn't come up correctly, meaning we need to go to their physical location to get them going again.
Now I am probably behind the times where technology comes in -
But how did you remove the old machine without physically being there in the first place ?
( these new tape changers must have improved since i last saw them if they are replacing whole machines now )

From: Hamster Power Module Step 1. Take hamster out of box Step 2. Put hamster in wheel Step 3. Fill food and water tubes Step 4. Give hamster a gentle nudge Hamster should now start powering your server. It if does not, please see the following troubleshooting checklist.. It aint rocket science.

From: Adriana Caligari ...But how did you remove the old machine without physically being there in the first place ?.. All the machines that SL actually runs on are in a different location that the main office. The SL computers are just some of the many computers at a giant computer "farm" that offers networked hardware and terabytes of storage at a price. This might be why SL has the severe bandwidth/network/connectivity problems they have all the time?

They probably had a scheduled trip to the colocation facitlity to remove the machines, but they don't have someone on site there 24/7. Not unusual. Kyushu

The SL grid is run by 365 Main, website 365main.com .
I would like to know if Linden Research owns the computers or if 365 Main not only houses thems and keeps them running but also owns them.
When LR gets new machines, do they get delivered to an LR owned location or do they go to 365 Main?
Grid monkeys - are these Linden staffers who work inside the 365 Main building, or do they just go there when needed?
When sims go down, and the auto-restart fails, is the human action taken to solve the problem done at the colo or is it done remotely from the SL offices?
