After spending like half an hour editing settings for my avatar, I save it, and he still looks like he's wearing a jumpsuit.
It looks correct in the preview, but not in-game. |

Short answer: Wait for the textures to load. If there is alot of detail, it could take a few minutes.

It's been like that since I started playing. Each time you come in game, the textures have to load. Whats happening there is the textures aren't loaded, so there giving you blank textures with just colour until they do. Try holding alt, clicking on your avatar and zooming in and out for a minute or two and see if they load, or just focusing on your avatar. _____________________

IF that doesn't work, also, clear the cache. It's under Edit: Preferences: Network.
It happens from time to time, used to result in me destroying an item I had created. I haven't noticed it as much now. _____________________
