I wish the TypeMatrix keyboard with a Dvorak skin wasn't 125 USD... ;_;

Actually that's on a QWERTY keyboard...The Dvorak keyboard is designed for speed typing, and average WPM is (at least claimed by the original designers) roughly 200wpm or better. - Newfie _____________________

Using the Dvorak Simplified Keyboard, she has maintained 150 word/min for 50 min, 170 word/min for shorter periods of time, and has been clocked at a peak speed of 212 word/min. Cite: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Words_per_minute Edit: 212wpm, that's over 3 words per second. Wouldn't want to get in a debate with her over instant message. ![]() _____________________

Fast typing is fine and all, but wouldn't running the recorded audio through Dragon Naturally Speaking or something simpler provide a better transcript? I know from being there that a lot was missed in the published transcript, and we are all mostly technology hounds here, right? You'd also think they'd have the audio file up just as fast, unless we are awaiting an editor's knife.

Dragon Naturally Speaking I have not found Dragon Naturally Speaking to be particularly good at it's job. Supposing that a number of listener's were doing their best to type what they heard and their input was collected, compared and analyzed by a by a properly designed program; might it be possible to get a highly accurate transcript in that manner? _____________________
