Hi
I'm interested in SL, but haven't managed to try it yet - though I have registered. I don't have a broadband connection at home yet so I'm hoping to find a gaming cafe somewhere in London, UK. Any London/SL people out there able to help? Cafes in other cities might be useful to others too.
I hope I've posted this in the right place - apologies if I haven't!

http://www.world66.com/world/europe/unitedkingdom/england/london/cybercafesHowever, I don't think I've ever seen a gaming cafe with SL installed, and I'm not sure they let you install your own software - you might have to ask very nicely

Mmm. I kind of suspected this. I did speak to one cafe owner, who suggested he might be willing as long as his security system ok'd it. I was rather hoping there might be a games-oriented cafe somewhere in the city though where people already accessed SL. I haven't installed broadband as I might be moving this year - but SL has got me seriously interested.

One of the companies using SL as a business platform, Rivers Run Red, is headquartered in London. They're wonderfully friendly folks and probably have a good idea where you could give SL a whirl in London (its a shame you didn't post last week - a bunch of us were hanging out in London last week!). http://www.riversrunred.com/Regards, -Flip

Thanks for the list Yumi. Looks like it has a few real possibilities - I'll give them a ring and check.
Thanks also, Commerce Leader, for the RRR info.
Hopefully I'll get in-world very soon!
