After todays update my houses that you drop the box and it rezes the house parts won't work anymore after todays update. I spent 3 hours trying to get them to complete the rezing but each different house got stuck mid rez. The box would say it was runnng but it would sit and do nothing. If i picked it up and droped it again it would go to the same place. with no way to reset it. I even tryed going to a total other area and droping it and it quckly fley away. I've not seen it back in my stuff yet.

it didn't make it back to the land I have. am I the only one having this kind of problem and if its something easy to fix, what do i need to do to fix it? It was 3 different house designs we tryed me and one other person both having the same problem. the houses were from the same maker but good houses they worked fine before today.

What can i do to get it to complete the rezing of all the house parts?

Are the houses made of many prims? It could be something to do with the grey goo fence.

It limits how fast a script can rez objects, if you try to rez too much too fast the goo fence will start to silently fail your rez requests.

Well this is one of those houses that self rezes all of the parts in order and its a completed house when the rezer box is done flying around rezing it. but the box stops in the middle of doing it and just sits in place like it does when its rezing a part but it does nothing more. its been setting over 3 hours now in the same place since last attempt.

this this was over a 3 hour time of trying to get any of the huses to work properly and 2 oh the houses where just bought before trying to place them. I know its good houses i bought from the same creator before. and this is happening to one of the houses i have for over a month now with no problems rezing it if i moved to a new plot of land before today. I think the scripting update might be having some effect causing this problem. Since it worked fine before this update today.

I would put a little llOwnerSay at the end of the rez routine. If your item stops rezzing, but you still get the OwnerSay, then your hitting the goo fence and your requests are failing. If you dont get the ownersay, then your scripts are crashing from some type of memory problems, which if your storing lots of data (as it sounds like you are) is definetly a possibility.

the only time I had this problem was when the house was being rezzed outside of my land boundry - then it would just stop.
Maybe worth looking at

I have a couple of large-scale projects (3,500+ prims) that I tinker around with in cordova and goguen from time to time. I pack them up in a rez-faux box and I have noticed that the first rez attempts almost always fail with large swathes of prims missing. Most times it only takes a de-rezz and a second rezzing to get all the prims in place. Even then the rezziing process can take several minutes.

I've had problems with ShapeMaker since the update before last, I noticed if I create more than 30 sides only the first 30 or so blocks will respond to the commands from ShapeMaker all the others remain stuck at their rez positions until the next command was issued, often they remain stuck completely. I hadn't thought about the grey goo fence but it's true this problem started around that time.

The difference is the blocks did rez, but they seem to be ignoring the commands shouted from the controller.

I have noticed this as well. Objects seem to not be hearing other objects which are well within range. At the moment, the only solution to this problem is to re-shout whatever the prims need to hear in order to move into position and align themselves.

I did a test this morning and did hit the problem with ShapeGen. Only the first 29 blocks were responding until I sent another command. Suspecting a queueing issue, I added a default delay of .2 seconds between messages to the blocks, and tested it with 64 blocks without a problem. I added a command to change the delay between messages so people can try adjusting that when they see this problem. I would't be surprised if the busyness of the sim can be a factor.

So ShapeGen .94 is now available at my land in Ohno (100, 72) for $1. I don't know when I might get around to fixing ShapeMaker, it's sort of the previous generation. Except for the fact that it doesn't do tori yet, I think ShapeGen should be better for folks anyway. It allows you to change textures, texture scale, color and alpha of the rings on the fly. That's why I don't use ShapeMaker any more myself.

Laukosargas - I dropped a ShapeGen .94 on your inventory. The interface might not be exactly the same, so you probably want to read through the notecard readme. I hope it works better.

Hrmmm..... sounds like my Builders' Buddy script may have a risk of being affected by it too - will give it a few tests this weekend and see if I need to add some behaviour to prevent gray-goo loss.

Thanks very much, I'll give it a whirl :)
