Someone once posted here a very good FAQ or notecard or something on group-owned land. I can't find it anywhere.
What I want to know are the ramifications of deeding land to a group. Lets say at the end of the land ownership period everyone is honest and wants the land to go back to the original owner -- how is that accomplished? What if everyone isn't honest? What can they do to the original owner. That sort of thing.
I can find all sorts of info on how to set it up -- but no info on how to dissolve it.

An officer sets the land for sale to the original owner for $0. Make sure the sale is restricted to only the original owner before checking the sale box. Cheap land can be scooped up by a 3rd party with unbelievable speed. The original land owner withdraws tier. This leaves the group without tier covering the land but since there is a grace period it's not going to go poof. The original land owner buys the land.

You can ask a Live Helper or a Linden for the notecards on group land and deeding group land. They're good references. If the land is deeded to group, any officer can sell it so make sure you trust your officers. Or have other people in your group just be members if you want to play it safe and keep control of the land you originally bought.

This method should be followed even if the original owner does not want to keep the land. If it is sold while it is still group land the proceeds will be divided equally amongst the group members even if the original owner was the only one holding tier for it.
This leads to what group members can do to the original land owner. Any group officer can take land from the group in this fashion leaving the original owner with zilch. The rules pertaining to officer recall by the group have been changed to due abuse of that option.
