Hello everyone,
Its Sunday Jan8/06, and I would like to know if anyone else has experienced brutal lag today. Things not loading,,seeing massive grey, not being able to move or do anything?
And also with the amount of financial intake that Lindons get, should we be compensated for our down time also?..We pay good money to be in here, and to come in and have this happen is nutz.
Or is this because of updates being worked on?
If anyone knows what the trouble has been today.I would really appreciate the input.
thanks

For many people the program has not been working well at all lately.
I see the gray textures in buildings everywhere I go, everytime.
Objects are taking so longto that if, for example, you fly along a roadway, you have to stop and turn around to see the road forming where you used to be.
Something new seems to have gone wrong lately causing avatars to be gray also.
Don't expect to get any money back unless the system stops completely and no one can log on at all
About the not being able to move problem - how many avatars were around, what are your preference setting in the network tab, etc. - more information is needed to see if there is something you can do about that.

Yes. I was building, and I normally will be building right now. But the base upon which my house is sitting - which I have covered in a default grass texture - was sitting there being totally gray, for the first time, no matter what I did. it was so infinitely stupid looking at that while I built that I just quit and got off.
I'll probably get back on in a bit and see if it's fixed itself.

If you aren't willing to take the time to tell us your system specs, what kind of internet service you have, where you were in SL, and what your preference setting are, why bother posting?

When was the last time they reset the grid?
Most online games/worlds do daily maintence. I think that would help a great deal. Even if its 8 hours once a week at the least populated time on the grid. I have been walking threw soup for days grey everywhere and building sucks, events suck, and OMG shopping now sucks. We cant have that!
So they explained the 45fps change, I haven't noticed anything but the grid being worse than what it was before the change. Hell yeah fix this lag bs.
World of Warcraft runs like butter on all 3 of my computers.

For the past week or so - I've been having to have my sim restarted every other day. Time Dilation will drop into the toilet, and when it runs unchecked without a restart too long - all objects in the sim will turn phantom. As soon as the sim restarts, everythings peachy for about 36-48 hours. Its really fun at parties.

Indigo went down and came back up about 5 times yesterday. The weird thing is, it didn't seem to "cycle" back up on a new sim - that typically takes 5-10 minutes. It would log us all out, then log us in at a new location, then be back up in about 1 minute. Something is definitely funky grid-wise.
Regards,
-Flip
