How many more people are going to have to get burned mistaking $US for $L before LL does something about it?
We need a color-code, a warning prompt or something. Any suggestions?
I got burned my first month thinking my $75 tier was in Lindens. I am not ashamed to admit it because the distinction to my untrained eye was easily missed.
Does LL like to keep it this subtle? Hmmmmm.

Does LL like to keep it this subtle? Hmmmmm. You mean you thought you were spose to be $75 lidens, and not $75 USD? On the website if you upgrade to that land amount, it says "US$75.00/month". Is this what you were talking about, or something else? |

yes as a newbie, I thought paying for the land itself and paying for a premium membership was enough. Did not know about land use fees. Most newbies don't. Sorry if that makes me uncool.

There is no way to mistake real money for lindens. If you would go to the site and check your account they deal in real money not Lindens nothing mistaking it there.
I had and never had any problems and never know til now a person to have a problem recognizing the difference between Lindens and real money.
wish we could pay our tier with Lindens.. that would be cool being as the Lindens pay us 500 L bucks a week to play.

You have to go to the website to confirm a land tier upgrade and on the website it says specificly US$
The try their best to define this for you, but if you don't know the difference between US Dollars and Linden Dollars, i'm sorry.

Imagine my confusion from L$ to US$ then to UK£ Lord have mercy it never ends..... now I don't worry about it....those nice people at Visa do all the worrying for me! In fact last month they even rang me to tell me they were worried and was it really me spending money with Linden labs. I tried to explain that yes it was me and no it was not because it was the other me that actually kept using the card! This seemed to worry them even more! They really do work overtime don't they  Best wishes Lord H (terminally confused) |
