This entire post is against the rules... well, the naming of names is...

/invalid_link.html

I was there, his intention is not to harrass your patrons. The landowner likes the idea, it brought MORE people to the club tonight. She told him she is going to advertise that the Ant Farm is there... And, no it is not against the rules to build whatever you want on your own land.

You may want to talk to the patrons of your club - he got seven IMs on CHRISTMAS calling him nasty names. Why? Because he put up a wall with a panoramic view on his property 5 m away from the property line - the side looking out the club had a clear texture on it, so you didn't even see the picture and still had a clear view across the sim.

Anyway, it's not a grief build, or even an ugly build. It is intended for fun. Adults have fun too don'tcha know? And not all adult fun involves being naked :D

In addition to the naming of names it doesn't seem that the poster bothered to read this:

Hotline to Linden
You've discussed it in the forums. You've proposed it in the voting system. You've reported your bug, talked to Liaisons and Live Help, and emailed support. Still have a question or an idea for Linden feedback? Then post it here!

Sounds like you guys have the start of a resident created themed sim. Maybe someone will create an Ants in the Pants game on an adjacent parcel but that might create copyright problems with Hasbro.

Know anyone who can make an avatar for you?

Happens a lot I guess...neighbors getting pissy about what others' do. Nope we can't name names at all in the forums, or bring in IM chat logs. Sometimes I think that's silly, but see the point. And yep he can build what he wants as long as it doesn't go against the TOS, which unless I'm missing sumthing he isn't.

Thanks for the ideas :D We had already thought about doing a theme park with another resident on the sim.

I think the guy is just a bit pissy about someone expanding on his idea without permission in hopes of attracting more customers. The benefit is custers are pretty much shared in a symbiotic relationship between the two builds, unfortunately it can also be percieved as a parasitic relationship as well wich I think is how its currently being percieved as by the owner of The Angry Ant. I'd be kinda pissed too if someone started copying my build in anyway for thier business model without saying anything to me.

No one is copying anything. The two builds are entirely different looking... and came about from the nasty IMs left for him by patrons of the Angry Ant because of a prim wall that had been put up with a nice photo on it. The side facing the Angry Ant had totally clear texture on it, so the view was not blocked. The wall was put up so he did not have to look at the club, and it was not right up on the property line, either.

Initially, he was going to put up a giant magnifying glass... but the idea evolved to have an ant observatory instead. And griefing the patrons of the club is off limits. It's just a bit of silly fun, and not really meant to hurt anyone. Nasty IMs calling people obscene names are meant to be hurtful, but they end up causing inspiration. :D

My thoughts exactly. From experience though, just ride it out and ignore your neighbors. They will come and go. Some will be good and some will be little babies but if your patient and don't add fuel to the fire then they will get bored and move on.

I own the club and honesty I cant believe forum space was wasted over a silly argument like this. Although its kinda funny a little argument starts so many forum posts. I also like seeing so many assumptions, nearly none of them true. But I guess people like to talk and assume they know everything. If its really that important to you just ask me, Sarah Nerd, or Dook. I don't think either of us really give a rats ass about this situation anymore.
