Is anyone else experience sudden, show-stopping lag while building?

The last 45 minutes has been a building nightmare. I'm trying to piece together a 10-12 prim object but I'm suffering from such bad lag in-game I have pieces flying off the sim I'm in, deselecting themselves, duplicating themselves 45 seconds after I press CTRL-D, and other lag-related issues.

It's crazy. I think I'm just toing to log out for an hour or so and come back -- Object that I move around are rotating themselves to positions the were in minutes ago. Crazy

/me smells another grid attack.

Feel lucky. Both our Isles are crashing every few minutes now. :-/

Sooo. Did it get better, or worse?

I own an Island, never had Lag Probs since the last update.
I have some friends who find they cant move there when scripts are running ( turn off all scripts and all is fine)
This prob seems to have only just startes since the last update, and these friends are saying they are not prepaired to pay for SL if they cant do anything and are thinking of going elsewhere to spent there free time...
Lindens had better sort this serious problem out or they are gonna lose a lot of customers....

I to have noticed in the past 2 days(since the last update) alot of lag to the point i come to a complete stand still then crash! i crashed yesterday many many times i wasent in game but maybe a total of 30 mins in hours and hours of time trying. It starts with can't sit on things , the option is only allowed a few seconds then changes to make copy menu, then i cant Teleport, then messages dont go up....then i crash! I tried to send a bug report and it crashed! When i contacted Live Help i was told to check my graphics card, its fine, then i was told to uninstall and reinstall SL! I did! checked all the settings , connection etc. Ok lets get past all that, been there done that! Then today i discoverd when Scripts are turned off on the island i have NO problems! No lag , No Crash, i can sit, and TP. And No to answer your next question, NO new scripts have been added to the island to suddenly cause this in the past 2 days to happen.So if you ask me it is something in the last Update to do with scripts. Let me know if you have any insight on this or am I just Crazy!

No, but other prim problems. They jump around alot, and jump back to position before altered. ATM I keep crashing for trying to texture prims Ive linked together.

I crashed 4 times yesterday.

Before that I had only crashed like maybe once or twice since I joined SL.

These reports of increased lagillation are very troubling. Unpredictable prim movement, temporal hiccups and the erasures and afterasures I've been hearing about are all signs I have witnessed before. Are we headed for another Erase? I hope not with all my heart.

What can be done?

I'm having lag on script saving. Not the usual lag we have now in long scripts but the stupid thing won't save at all.
And rezing objects on a timer set to 0.5 is going about once per minute.

why has it taken 4 years for someone to post this...

Lag everywhere, unpredicable movement, clothes taking forever to rez, etc.

Yes weird things happening to objects....and unusual Jumping when trying to type in chat .
They need to check into this ASAP ! In the past 3 days the situation is still the same....come on with the Update and FIX Please...begs!

I was having this same problem day before yesterday, I think it was... can't recall exactly, but it was the same thing. I would edit an object into one position, then right before my eyes, without edit even being open, it would move back where it had been before. I haven't noticed it since, but it freaked me out. Also have been getting terrible lag at times, but that may just be related to what sim I'm in.

Stretch a prim, watch it snap back to where it was before I started. Edit it by the numbers, same thing. Unlink a prim, and presto, it vanishes. Edit a textures repeat and offset values, it snaps back to 1.0 and 0.0 as soon as I touch the numbers with scroll wheel. I think some kind of wierdness is going on. As for the lag, I just comes and goes periodically for no reason I can see. I will be standing still in my sim, no one else in it, all of sudden the lag will zoom full red. If someone on my freinds list logs on or off, the blue window popping up will make my pc come to an instant momentary freeze for several seconds. The blue popup windows at the top sometimes only come down halfway before causing the freeze on my pc, not far enough to see what they say. I have changed nothing on my pc, just did the typical wensday update, it certainly wasn't this bad before.

I have done all i can.....talked to Live Help...sent abug report...had a Linden come ...still same problems.....all im getting is the same questions asked...settings...bandwith....Graphics card....attchments...clean cache.....been there DONE THAT!!!! No change.....still lag to stop and crashes when scripts are on! Are any other Islands ..land owners Areas having this problem? I need some answers....this has just started in the past 3 days! LAG LAG LAG i dont even have any attchemnts or hair on!
Has sl become to much with this last update? Is it overloading my card? Why am i paying for something i cant play?

I get it too... out of the blue, but mostly after a lot of construction.

I wonder if this is a client side problem now and only a few of us are having it.
I expected this post to be filled with yelling by now but its not very big.

i just started noticing this like 2 days ago, but mine seems to be connected to doing something in inventory. digging through things, searching, then closing all folders or something along those lines...suddenly drop from 30 to 3 fps until i relog.

Same here, and the update didn't solve it at all.
