Does anyone know of a website with movies made within SL are hosted? I just saw a couple in the Media section on SL homepage, and i was very impressed. I wouldn't mind watching more if there are any around :) Tks

So how about those of us who are interested in making them? What tools are used (preferably freeware), etc?

I'd recommend FRAPS .

It isn't freeware, so to speak. But you can download a trial version of it which has some limitations (like you can only record a 30 second movie - plus they embed a watermark on the movie).

But I really liked the program, so I bought it. Not too expensive. $37 bucks I think. And you get free updates forever, I believe.

You might also try, NoNags. That's a great file download site with freeware or no-nag software. I'm not sure if they have any video making/recording tools or not. I haven't looked personally. But there might be.
