In case you haven't seen it and need a good giggle, here's a 3 part article on Second Life from a guy who came here to find out about SL birth clinics and the experience of giving birth in SL:

Nobody's replying to Kritter ![]() It's ok. I don't care. I post to relieve my own boredom, not so people will read it. BTW, I've been thinking about this whole prim baby thing, and I think it's pretty appalling. These parents log off for hours and hours at a time, leaving their babies entirely unattended. Hell, some even DEREZ them back to inventory! It's about time LL allowed us to AR these negligent parents. In fact, I think it's about time we had a SocialServices Linden to check up on the welfare of prim babies. If parents log out for an extended period of time he should be empowered to confiscate the prim babies. And if the SL marriage of the parents should break up, he should demand payment for the childs welfare from the father - and if they don't pay, it would come direct out of their stipend weekly. I mean, prim babies don't come cheap (well, except mine. It's free). These people want realism in their virtual family lives? Ladies and gentleman, I give you realism! Hmm. I'm off to make a feature proposal. _____________________

"And is hip hop the best soundtrack for a delivery room? What expecting mother wants to hear Khia sing, "Lick my pussy and my crack"?
That made me laugh. The appeal of prim babies is a complete mystery to me. But I think it's great. SL is such a bizarre place. _____________________

All these prim babies are gonna come back to bite us in the ass one day. Resident-Evil style.
Shouldn't the woman who delivered my baby have tied back the silvery mane of hair that made her look like an alien love interest from an early episode of Star Trek? And is hip hop the best soundtrack for a delivery room? What expecting mother wants to hear Khia sing, "Lick my pussy and my crack"? |

We should build a statue of Baal, and burn prim babies before it.

For those also worried about the boom of Prim Babies in SL... I have created a solution:
The First SL Home Abortion kit, complete with kitchen table, two animations and a rusty coat hanger. On Sale Now. |

I've always been kinda suspect of prim babies myself - up until I read Kritter's link above. It really was a feel-good kinda article. It kinda makes more sense to me now why some folks are interested in such a thing.
Maybe if they start offering prim puppies I'll sign up...... or not ![]() _____________________

Find a thing people enjoy doing in SL, but for some (moral or other) reason you don't like or think it's ridiculous 2. Attack the group, the people, make fun of them, open forum topics, wish for these people to 'get a life', go away, do something 'productive' (in your definition, of course) 3. If you get bored -- or these people DO leave, or stop go back to step 1 Whatever happened to 'tolerance'? Live and let live? _____________________

I have to exercize that IRL when people children are out in public behaving like monkeys on crack. Every one on SL is supposed to be over 18, I do *not* need to experience shrieking prim-babies in SL. If people what to have them and play with 'me that's fine with me. But I have a right to think that they're silly for it, or even that it's annoying. Tolerence is for important stuff, like race, religion, sexual orientation, etc. It does *not* mean that people who do any silly-assed thing they feel like are imune from other people stating that they think that it's silly. Tolerance *also* means putting up with people who don't agree with you, even if they are sarcastic or suggesting that someone, "get a life". Anyway, if you think what you see here is harsh, you should really peek into some unmoderated Usenet newsgroups. This forum is a model of restraint and consideration by comparison. ![]() |
