Does anyone know what the result of the previous grid attacker's charges were? Not this last one, but the one before that. The said they handed the names over the FBI but has anyone heard anything else?

Both were done by the same person and, no, nothing happened, because he's Canadian. There's no way the FBI is going to extradite because (devil's advocate on these words - not my opinion) "some kid crashed a game".

Then why can't he be permanently banned from SL? Flip's right. He can just go to a library/friend's house/etc, and make another account (now that there's no credit card requirement) and do it all over again. You'd have to ban all of Canada. Including The Kids In The Hall and Barenaked Ladies, who may decide to log on some day in the future. |

1 day suspension? Does anyone else not see this situation as being taken too lightly by LL? It is possible that it was an innocent mistake. A one day ban for being careless does not seem all that light. _____________________

It is possible that it was an innocent mistake. A one day ban for being careless does not seem all that light. Yes. Just like last time! A newbie made a mistake and took down the entire grid. That's the story, isn't it. "I like slipped on some ice and fell down and named this thing 'grid crash' and by mistake it crashed the grid  "I totally forgot that that's what "the story" is. Thanks for reminding me. Both times. Newbies making scripting mistakes. Got it. Writing it down. Won't forget next time. Sometimes you've gotta... catapult the propaganda. |
